It was another beautiful day in town. The sun was shining, and the birds were singing. Unfortunately, you'd stay inside & write. You didn't care how nice it was, but you couldn't write in the sunlight. It was just too bothersome to your [e/c] eyes, even if Arthur always complimented them.
You had met Arthur as if you'd meet a stranger: You were in the library when you dropped your immensly thick stack of books. He was the only one who helped you pick all of them up, on-top of that, he took you over to the café where he bought you your favorite drink. He's been with you for over 2 years now, being your everything. You couldn't think of anybody else you'd want to spend your time with. He admires everything about you: the bounce in your [h/c] locks against your [s/c], smooth skin, the beautifully sparkling smile, the slight seductive tone in your voice whenever he speaks to you, everything. You couldn't wait to get home & see his emerald eyes widen as he opened the door for you. You couldn't be happier in your entire life.
After a quick run to the supermarket, you were on your way home. Today was very special to you: it was your anniversary. There would be nothing better than him holding you close and giving you the soft neck kisses you desire so... But you decided to throw that thought to the back of your mind. Dirty thoughts isn't what you've been planning today, even if they were so desirable. Arthur wasn't that kind of guy, and you couldn't see him ever being like that. Unless, somehow, he had a change of heart... but that wouldn't happen.
You can back to your humble abode carrying a small bag with tea, blueberries, sugar & bread. You were sure there would be a sweet dessert after a lovely meal, and you always love to cook. Blueberries on french toast were one of the favorite things you & Arthur shared. Just thinking about dinner got you a little hungry. At this rate, you'd probably walking home, snacking on a few of the blueberries. So you decided to fasten the pace home.
Before you knew it, you were slowly walking up a marvelous driveway. After slowing down, the front door opened, and a shining smile & happy tone filled you up.
"[name]! I've been waiting all day for you to get home!" He picked you up & spun you around. Once he put you down, he saw the blush in your cheeks and smiled that forget-me-not smile.
"I've been out buying things for our lovely dessert after dinner!" You replied. Even though he wasn't a very good chef, he loved to help you in the kitchen.
"Well, alright. Come on, let's go sweetheart!" He carried you wedding style with bag in-hand into the house. You placed the bag in the kitchen for later. Right now, you just wanted to spend time with him. That's what you've been craving all day.
You walked to the living room & sat next to him on the sofa where he'd been waiting for you. You snuggled into his chest & gave him a sweet kiss. There would never be another besides him. His love was all you ever needed, so you had nothing to worry about. Just snuggling with him was enough to bring a pinkening to your cheeks, which he so easily saw every time. He knew how much you loved him, so he loved you even more than that. That night, your plans had changed. It was sudden, but you went with it. You dressed in your nicest dress & your mother's old jewelry. As you walked down the stairs, Arthur admired your stunning beauty.
"You look absolutely gorgeous, [name]." Arthur complimented you, so you slightly blushed.
You made your way into a limo and were driven to a fancy restraunt. You sat through dinner laughing and smiling as big as you could.
"[name]? Remember the first time we met?" Arthur asked.
"How could I ever forget? I was just about to reach for another piece of Shakesphere's famous works, when all my books toppled over. You were the one who helped me pick them all up. And since you were such a gentleman, you took me to the café across the street. It was one of the happiest days of my life." You were smiling, and you could even see a pink in his own cheeks.
"_-[name]?" Arthur suddenly looked very nervous. You wondered what could be going on.
"Yes?" You replied. Since you were confused, those were the only words you could muster to him.
Arthur suddenly reached for him pocket. He was scrambling a bit, looking very frantically. When he finally found it, he slowly took it into his hands. With one free hand, he went around the table and made you stand. He was one knee now, tears filling your eyes. In his hands, a red velvet box opened to reveal a diamond ring encrested with your birth stone and his.
"[name], will you marry me?" He said. Your tears of joy were running down your cheeks now, and you were getting choked up. with the little strength you had, you exclaimed a happy "Yes!" and held him tightly.
He had finally proposed.
